Sandy Hook

Taken in early March 2000 during one of the first road trips Linda and I took. I was shooting 35mm film with my old EOS Rebel 2000 but as usual I had a digital point-and-shoot with me - my first Canon digital, a PowerShot A50 - which I used to capture this shot. Not bad in color, but turned out much better after converting to monochrome and applying filtering with Aperture. At 1280x960, the A50 was a bit challenged in the resolution department but it yielded some nice images of the years until it was replaced by the PowerShot S40 at Christmas 2002.
