Burned Beyond Recognition
I've passed this toasted hulk of an ex-barn every day for as long as I can remember thinking it might be an interesting photo op. Now that I've shot it, I'm not so sure... but it did gave me the challenge of bringing out features in the shadows while maintaining the nice blue afternoon sky. There's a silo just out of frame on the left which I've cropped out, and in addition to casting a dark shadow across the interior it really took away all the interesting angles that could have been possible if only it caught fire, too, and got the hell out of my way! I probably could have saturated more to get the grass a bit greener but that's pretty much the actual, bland color of an open field in New Jersey in early Spring.
